IAN PEREIRA (Advtg and Industrial Photographer) | | High Comrades,
Jiten, Ranten and myself are in the process of trying to organise a World Cup RumMixxa on the 23rd March 2007. We are looking for venues that will permit us to hang on till 2am. This RumMixxa might happen or may not. Just to keep you informed of the possibility.
On that day India play Sri Lanka. The match is on from 6pm to 1.45am the next day.
Proposed programme:
5.30pm RumMixxa begins, with Chai, Cold drinks, snacks.
6pm Match starts,
8.00pm Bar opens. Old Monk flows. Lots of Snacks.
9.30pm Post Mortem of the 1st innings. More Rum. More snacks.
10.15pm. 2nd Innings begins.
11pm onwards Dinner is served.
1.45am Match over. India wins (hopefully)
Shall keep you posted on whether this event will happen.

(of course this has nothing to do with the fact that i'll be in Bombay that weekend :)

We have decided that all future RumMixxas will be on Friday evenings There was a lack of attendance on Saturdays.
Comrades found it easier on a Friday, to bullshit their spouse or their parents by telling them they were working late or they had a meeting or an office event.
On Saturday it becomes difficult to get a 'gate pass' and also the family has to be entertained on that day.
Hence the Friday RumMixxa.
